Episode 4 - Instant Block

Welcome back to Episode 4 of The Circle

We left off where the Influencers, Ivy and Shantelle, had to save 2 Players each and Joel wasn't chosen, so he got Blocked. He is now on his way to meet one Player. Let's see who it will be.

Joel: Hello...

Addy: "..."

Joel: Addy?

Addy: Joel?

Joel: “Hey Addy, bet you probably didn’t expect to see me popping in tonight! I was tossing up who to go visit, but you won out because we just didn’t get enough time to get to know each other. So we could just chat a little now?”

Addy: "Oh gosh, hey Joel. I am honestly shocked that you were blocked, I thought a sweet guy like you would have the loyalty of everybody. And yes, I also didn't expect to see you visit me, but you know what, I happen to really like the Unexpected, makes living a little bit sweeter, you know what I mean? *laughs* Anyway, I was really sad that we didn't really talk that much in the challenge, so I am really happy to finally get to know you better."

Joel: “I guess everyone is more attached to everyone else, they could pick off Joel when they had to. Maybe if they’d been able to discuss...although with girl power and flirting that probably went on, I probably didn’t make the biggest impact. Tell me more about yourself! Before I leave, of course.”

Addy: "Do you really want to hear that? You might get into something you are not ready for Hehe, kidding. Well, what can I say that you don't know already? I'm originally from Kazakhstan but am now living in the UK to study Language & Literature, which is quite odd for a quirky person like me, but that made me go for it even more. As you may see, I love the eccentric and colorful fashion and I love all shapes and forms. And I do like like both genders equally, even though I tend to not label myself as anything. Oh, and I have an unhealthy obsession with the late Prince and get frequently mistaken for Kaitlin Harlow, which you might have guessed by asking me that question. Now it is your turn, who exactly is Joel? I know you love family, cooking and both genders, but I want to hear more."

Joel: “You’re so interesting, honestly, I’m sad now I have to leave! I would’ve loved to talk more about literature and Prince and Kaitlin Harlow! Woah, I really can see it now. Who is Joel...again, what a hard question to answer just in one chat. I’m a chef, as you know, I’ve got a food blog, it’s my baby, as is my dog, Martian, I love him. I used to play the violin when I was younger, I won an award for that, but I gave up as I grew, needed more time to focus on cooking, ahaha! I wish people had connected more with me, I guess, so I could stick around. But that’s life! I hope you go far, Addy.”

Addy: "Thanks. I'm also sad to see you leave. Even though we didn't talk much, I would have kept you if it was up to me. I love that you have a food blog, maybe I should check it out when I'm back home. Gotta see if there is a new trend I can hop on to. I sadly can't play any instrument, unless you can count the radio or an mp3 player. Thanks, Joel, I also hope I can get far. Talking to you made me feel a lot better since I'm currently internally collapsing because of the upcoming ranking. So thank you for stopping by here, I really enjoyed the chat with you."

Joel: "I'll be sure to find a way to chat with you once you're out too, maybe they whisk the blocked players off to some other apartment to slowly starve! Ha! Then, I suppose, you'd have to block...and I'd prefer to see you go on until the end! Honestly, I would. I'm glad I could help, in one way or another, and hopefully next ranking you're not in any danger...but you're new, so I suppose you have to hope you're new AND impressive, which I'm sure you are."

Addy: "Oh god, what if this is all just a facade and the blocked players will join the Hunger Games? Hehe, Nah, the wouldn't do that... or would they? *looks into one camera* From my experience people either love me for my high energy and quirky humor or think I'm hiiiiiiiiiiighly irritating or... just high. I think I'd be happy with any placement in the Top 7 in the next ranking. 8th wouldn't be sooooooo bad too, but 1: That would mean most of them to find me annoying, and 2: What if there is a twist lingering around? Oh well, guess I have to wait and see."

Joel: "Oh boy I hope not!! I didn't come here to fight, hell someone like Alex could just kill me talking about Ash - I kid, I kid, though I'm sure Kisha and I could form some sort of alliance...if she isn't mad at me, maybe I could explain? You didn't even meet Kisha, did you? Sorry, you have no clue what I'm on about. I hope other people left in like you enough to keep you around, now that I've gotten to know you a bit better I certainly would've...but this is the end for me. Bummer. I'll be watching from the side. I'll see who wins, who doesn't, all that. We'll see what The Circle has in store..."

Addy: "Well, I hope I don't have to volunteer as a tribute anytime soon... though, I'd totally wear the clothes of Effie Trinket. I'll just have to see if I infected the others with the Addy-Fever and hope for the best. Like I said, I love the unpredictability of this game, so everything that comes I will take with pride and a smile, and then plot the murder later. :tongue: Oops, wasn't supposed to tell that yet. Anyway, it was so nice to meet you, Joel, thank you for choosing my room as your final destination, and maybe we will see each other again sooner or later."

Joel: Then I guess I have to go now... Bye!

The next morning in The Circle

Theron: Let's see how my co brothers doing... Circle open chat with the guys.

Message. Sup brothers, how's it going there? Shaun, we live to fight another day. Muscle Emoji. The girls are starting to overtake the guys, we need to stick together! I can sense the girls are plotting against us. Joy Emoji. Send message.

Leonard: I only came into The Circle yesterday but I also can feel that. The girls are like ants. All over the show... Hehe.

Message. For sure. We gotta cover each other's asses if we want a chance to survive. We can't just let the girls pick us off one by one. Send message.

Shaun: I really want to go to the finals.

Message. Glad we made it through, man. I was really nervous being last picked by Shantelle. I knew she wouldn’t hang me out to dry. Poor Joel though. We gotta get at least one of us up there to fight for the guys. Two in a row ain’t good. Send message.

Message. I must say though, some of the girls are pretty great here. Hard to go against them, but I think we might have to take some action and break them up a little. Maybe we need to all talk to them more, and get a guy up high in the ranking. Send message.

Leonard: I like the idea of the guys standing together to get the girls out. Tit for tat.

Message. Good idea. I think Shantelle's pretty interesting so far. Cindy-Lou is also cozying up to me and she seems nice. Felt kind of bad that she got picked last and her ranking was low. Theron: Mmmm. I feel the guys are rioting against the girls. Ouch...

Message. I'm rooting for either of you to get influencer, we need to get the boys on top! Muscle Emoji. Worried I'll be out next, the influencers are curse I tell ya! Except for Ivy, she's doing well for herself. But, yeah we need to talk to the girls more and get in their good books. Feels like we're in the dog house at the moment. Joy Emoji. Cindy is an interesting one, I've been talking more to her lately and can say she's grown on me a bit but don't know if I trust her. Think everyone feels the same!

And Ivy starts a chat with the girls.

Kizzie: Yeah, I'm also wondering who will be the new Player.

Message. How many people do you suppose they're going to bring in? I suppose another will come in today sometime. Send message.

Addy: It was so cool to watch the rating process yesterday and not able to be blocked from The Circle. But today is another day and I'm in it to win it! Hopefully, the girls will help me to get to the finals! And it will be awesome if it's just girls for the final 5.

Message. Yeeeeeeeeees, Girls for the win!!! I have absolutely no idea what will happen next. It could be a boy, another girl... a cat maybe? I mean imagine if the catfish in this house was a pet in real life? A catfishing the cats? That would beat any Morgan Reveal HANDS DOWN! Send message!

Message. I doubt anyone playing is an Actual cat, Joy Emoji, but being allowed to bring one in would be pretty awesome. Growing up I had a super fat lazy cat that would sit on my brother's shoulder like a parrot. Well, technically I guess that doesn't make him my cat does it. Send message.

Leonard: Message. If we're being honest my first impression of Theron wasn't that great when I read his short bio. But we got to talking and he seems like an alright dude. Shaun's pretty good too. Everyone, in general, seems to be nice but it's hard to tell if someone isn't who they say they are. I haven't got to talk to Ivy that much yet. Kind of hard to keep track of all the people here. Shantelle: Message. Yeah, I get you, there's so many of us now that it's hard to keep checking in on everyone and see how they're doing. How are you doing for fun in here? I've brought in a few books, a sketchpad, and some other nic nacs to keep me busy.

Leonard: Message. Since I can't go out, I brought a puzzle book and the Harry Potter novels with me. I kinda neglected both doing other things so now's a good time to focus on them. I'm still on the Sorcerer's Stone atm but I've seen the movies. It might be interesting to see how they're different. What do you sketch while you're there? There aren't many things to see here so I imagine you don't have a lot of subjects. Have you ever thought of trying to sketch someone's portrait? Send message.

What about this one: What if you were only restricted to live and visit 3 countries in the entire world, which ones would you pick? Send message.

Message. Yay group chats! Do we get to post dumb gifs like on Slack? Joy Emoji. Anyway, I'd definitely pick England (because of London), the US and... another one. Dunno what the other one would be... I hear Tokyo's pretty big on the finance scene so maybe Japan? Send message.

Message. First is easy for me, the United States. I wouldn't want to lose the ability to see family. The other three are hard because there are so many places I still want to go to. Italy and France I guess I would have to pick as the other two. Send message.

Addy: Message. Gifs would be so funny, but we never have done that here, so I think there will be no gifs here. As for countries... Tricky to be honest... Number 1 would be Kazakhstan cause that is where I was born and ~ruined~ raised. Closed eyes stuck out tongue Emoji. Number two would be United Kingdom because I live there now and I need Sam Smith. Cindy-Lou: Message. I'm having a hard time picking three countries girls, I ain't never been too far outside the US so my first place to live would have to be my Ranch. But I guess after some time, you learn to cope with that large chunk of homesickness and be happy when you get to see them again. So do I miss my family and friends? Heck yes!
